It was a long time coming, and a rather spur of the moment decision, but we finally booked a trip to New Zealand! And, after a few rounds of dealing with some classic Jetstar incompetency, we actually managed to get there.
We flew directly to Queenstown after our plans to drive from Christchurch were changed last minute, and found ourselves smack in the middle of some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen before we even left the airport. Then, just to really turn it on, it started snowing whilst we were waiting for our cab. Needless to say we weren’t too unhappy about our plans being changed by this stage.
Over the week that followed I found it difficult to turn in any direction without being visually assaulted by a stunning view, and obviously came home with hundreds of scenic shots filling my SD card. These are a few of my favourites, which were taken at Lake Wakatipu, Lake Wanaka and Diamond Lake.
